About this game

THE MARVELOUS ROOM

Deep underground in a government research facility lies "The Marvelous Room". An 8x10x5 meter box which is capable of manifesting any object requested by the user. Its true limits remain unknown... until today.

A supermassive cosmic entity (dubbed the "Dark Doodad") threatens to consume the solar system, and eventually, the entire universe. All of humanity’s other plans to halt this creature have failed. The Room is our final chance to prevent the extinction of our species.

THE EXPERIMENT

You are the Participant: a disposable android designed for dangerous environments, tasked with a simple set of duties.

Spawn an Item, Inspect it for Anomalies, and Report your findings to the Survey Machine.

The experiment’s supervisor, Dr. Finklestein, believes that 50 Items will need to be spawned successfully in order to verify the Room’s safety. Only then, can we manifest a weapon capable of defeating the Dark Doodad (without fear of it blowing up in our faces).

LIABILITY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Due to the unstable and unpredictable nature of the Marvelous Room and the objects materialized within, as well as Dr. Finklestein himself, participation in this experiment may result in:

  • Grievous bodily harm

  • ████ ████████

  • Mild memory fragmentation

  • Temporal desynchronization

  • Lethal doses of radiation

  • Uncomfortable social interactions

  • The Glogner (?)

  • An unshakable obsession with Slugs

  • Death

In the (somewhat likely) event of Participant death: Do not worry, you are entirely replaceable! A new Participant will be selected to continue the experiment in your stead. Your body will be collected by our researchers and examined extensively once the experiment concludes.

That is, assuming there’s anyone around to examine you by the time this experiment ends…
